Position Description:

As a customer care associate, you are an integral part of the customer relationship-building process of Neiman Marcus by providing support to our retail stores.  If you have that telephone voice flair that elicits joy and a smile to those who hear it – then this is the job for you! You are the voice of Neiman Marcus to our customers who call a store.  You will have the critical responsibility of assessing the customer’s needs, providing answers or solutions to inquiries, or successfully connecting customers with the appropriate retail sales associates in the various Neiman Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman locations.

Better yet, you can enjoy this job from the comfort and safety of your home!  This position is 100% remote,  and does not offer part-time hours, but requires being physically present (living and working) in the State of Texas. What will you do?

  • Work within established quality and metric-driven processes while showing love for our customers and fellow associates
  • Answer customer inquiries about our store hours of operation, services, in-store events, and other various operational topics
  • Determine customer needs and connect them to the proper retail store sales associate for merchandise answers or sales assistance
  • Utilize multiple PC applications as a resource for answering questions and connecting customers via phone to the right retail store departments

What skills and abilities are needed to be successful?

  • The ability to genuinely connect with customers and other associates in a friendly, professional, and engaging way
  • The ability to keep your cool during challenging customer interactions
  • Fluent in the English language, both spoken and written (other languages highly valued)
  • Proficiency and comfort with using technology (PC and online applications) are critical
  • The ability to multitask – interact via phone while using the internet and other computer applications
  • Meet all work from home requirements (PC/MAC, high-speed internet access, quiet location to work at home)
  • Must be able to work long periods of time at a desk while on the phone

Technical Requirements:

  • Must own a PC or Mac (desktop or laptop) that meets the below requirements for this role. 
  • Chromebook, Netbooks, iPads, tablets, etc are not supported or accepted for this role.
  • The PC/Mac must be connected through an ethernet cable. The use of WiFi is not permitted.
  • High-Speed Internet connectivity with a minimum speed of 10 MBPS Download and 10 MBPS Upload.
  • Supported Operating Systems: Windows 10, **macOS High Sierra (10.13), macOS Mojave (10.14), and macOS Catalina (10.15). 
  • Minimum RAM Required: 4GB. 
  • Screen resolution of 1280 x 1024 or better. 
  • Google Chrome Version 100.0.4896.127 or greater.
